You can verify active registrations or inspect corporate relationship data using the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) database.
How to Search the GLEIF Golden Copy
GLEIF publishes a daily compiled list (called the "Golden Copy") of all active LEIs globally. To verify an entity's registration status:
- Navigate to the official GLEIF search portal at GLEIF Golden Copy.
- Enter the entity's legal business name or its 20-digit LEI code.
- Verify that the status is listed as "ISSUED" (rather than "LAPSED" or "RETIRED").
